"No one can solve this problem alone, but together we can change things for the better."
Correction
In the profile of President George W. Bush by Wade Boese (January/February 2004), it was incorrectly reported that the Strategic Offensive Reductions Treaty “expires the same day that it enters into force.” The treaty entered into force June 1, 2003, and expires on Dec. 31, 2012, unless extended by the states-parties. However, the treaty limit that the United States and Russia must meet—not deploying more than 1,700-2,200 strategic warheads apiece—is only in effect for one day, on Dec. 31, 2012.
