The December 2004 issue of Arms Control Today contained two errors.

On page 12, two countries in the map, “Global Uranium Enrichment and Plutonium Reprocessing Facilities, 2004” were incorrectly labeled. In particular, Germany only possesses uranium-enrichment facilities, while France possesses both uranium-enrichment and reprocessing facilities. A corrected version of the map appears on page 34 of this issue.
On Page 30, a sentence in the article “The Politics of Arms Control in the Second Bush Term” contained an error indicating that the George W. Bush administration had said Iraq possessed nuclear weapons in making its case for the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of that country.

The paragraph should have read: In their debates, Kerry skewered Bush’s emphasis on military rather than diplomatic solutions to nonproliferation issues, most notably the administration’s decision to invade Iraq on the grounds, later proven unfounded, that it possessed chemical and biological weapons and that, if left unchecked, it would likely soon have nuclear weapons.
